Magical Diagonal with The Sunland Dancers, is a geometric pattern dance. Angled configurations of duets, trios and quartets rise up and out to fall away revealing solo dancing. Gems of one hundred ordered steps swirl inside an improvised score of invitational gestures; invitations are accepted, declined, negotiated. Internal human movement rhythms are made manifest, harmonizing on a tempo layer of the musical score, riding it until thrown off. Costumes and Choreography by Jmy James Kidd. Music Composition by Tara Jane ONeil. The Sunland Dancers are Perin Hailey McNelis, Lisa Wahlander, Jil Stein, Alexa Weir, Elroy Weir and Kidd.
